ROTO GREEN SCHOOLS

What we do

We champion the ROTO GREEN SCHOOL initiative by integrating sustainability, environmental stewardship, and eco-friendly practices into school programs, especially in the communities it serves. In order to achieve this, we take the following actions

WASTE MANAGEMENT AND RECYCLING PROGRAMS.

  • Waste Sorting Stations:
We install bins for sorting recyclables, compost, and non-recyclables, with posters and campaigns educating students on proper disposal.
  • Zero-Waste Challenges:
We run challenges for students to minimize waste, with incentives for schools that successfully reduce their waste output.
  • Recycling Drives:
Organize regular recycling days where students bring items like paper, plastic, and electronics for collection and recycling.

TREE PLANTING AND SCHOOL GARDENING

    • Green School Gardens:

We establish school gardens where students can learn about food production, organic farming, and sustainable land use.

    • Tree-Planting Events:

We organize tree-planting events and potentially partner with local authorities or environmental NGOs to provide seedlings and resources.

  • Reforestation Projects:

In areas where we operate, we lead initiatives to restore degraded lands by engaging students and the community in replanting local trees and protecting natural habitats.
