About Us

WELCOME TO REACH BACK

REACH BACK is a nonprofit organization founded in 2017 to champion sustainable development from the grassroots in both normal and emergency situations.

Our mission is to raise the next generation of leaders by empowering communities with education, life skills, and an enabling environment for sustainable development.

In schools and our established Temporary Learning Spaces (TLS) which also serve as Child Friendly Spacse (CFS), we run Reach One Teach One programs (ROTO programs) to meet the needs of children aged 4–17 and youth aged 18–35 in multiple ways, such as

  • ‎Ensuring access to quality education, technology and literacy by building schools, providing learning materials and supporting teachers/students.
  • Providing WASH and basic healthcare services through installing WASH facilities, distributing hygiene kits and partnership with healthcare providers.
  • Reinforcing child protection services by providing legal aid, psychosocial support programs and case management.
  • Championing climate action and adopting friendly environmental practices through proper solid waste management, tree planting and school gardening.
  • Promoting nation-building by motivating young people to:
    • Gain essential hands-on skills and soft skills through volunteerism, mentorship and vocational training.
    • Freely exercise their civic responsibilities and promote peace through democracy, accountability and leadership.
    • Showcase and preserve their culture through arts and crafts, festivals and cultural exchange.
    • Exhibit and harness their talents through extracurricular activities, creative performances and competitions.
‎In crisis affected areas such as in the NWSW regions of Cameroon, our setup Temporary Learning Spaces and Child Friendly Spaces serve as emergency response hubs for displaced families, safe zones for trauma recovery and safe havens for learning and play.
